Charles (Charlie) McIntosh, CEO has more than 45 years’ experience constructing a broad range of facilities for military, private and public organizations in Belize, Central America and is a well-known and respected business man in Belize.
Approximately 20 years ago, Mr. McIntosh significantly expanded his company, Tropical Holdings Ladyville Limited (THL) and took on an increasing volume of work for additional military and non-military clients. THL now employs more than 75 trades people and has an impressive specialty equipment inventory that allows for multiple project operations and has the expertise to self-perform the majority of site construction works. THL has completed more than 50 projects for international military forces in Belize (primarily UK/USA/CND & United Nations Clients) and has a solid reputation in the military / institutional construction community. THL specializes in industrial concrete works, and has completed projects all across Belize, ranging from the deep jungle to undeveloped seafront. Recently THL completed a large-scale project to install a new potable water & fire fighting system for the UK Government at Price Barracks Belize, as well as building a new warehouse building & completely renovating an existing hospitality facility. Other recent projects include BATSUB parking lot redevelopments, deployment compound set up with container pads, fence, sunshades and fuel supplies, barracks buildings refurbishments, sports court renovations and washroom barracks buildings refurbishments. |
THL has a multi-talented team of managers, trades people and subcontractors who are the best in the country and who have the depth of experience to be assigned to different projects at any given time to ensure work is on track.
The THL team is known for its safety-conscious attitude, and for maintaining their high standards using precise quality control processes. All staff receive first-aid and other emergency health care training. Security is also very important and THL uses strict employee screening, including documentation review, security screenings and criminal records checks.
